so, i fly to japan in 48 hours :D whew! all i have to do now is write an essay, pack, play netball, plan the itinerary, book some hotels, do my readings, attend classes, sink some beers at the pub, and leave -
1) i hope you all take care of yourselves and have fabbo holidays in my absence
2) if you want a postcard, please send me a facebook message with your address
3) is anyone free tomorrow lunch-ish? (at 2-ish?)

hello all!

as you may have noticed, i have been much more scattered than usual...
today, however, was my day of rest. i did the laundry (three weeks worth!), dyed my hair, organised my surgery forms, scanned photos for fiona, called my doctor, paid the bills - including the $200 mobile phone bill for july, figured out when i will be going on exchange (semester starts february 4th 2008), tried (and failed) to file my tax return...and i am about to tidy my room.
i did all of those tedious, boring things that i actually need to have done to be anything resembling organised!
so, from now on, i can spend more time relaxing, and less time being stressed. huzzah!

next week's netball game is at 6:45pm, so maybe we can grab dinner post-game? so...who's up for a 7:20/7:45 malaysian dinner next week?

also, are there any current plans for saturday 16th august? i was thinking about a movie night...

i hope you are all as calm, relaxed and stress-free as i am now. :P

i am really sick at the moment - all the cold and flu symptoms like the wavy lines and corkscrew throat spirals from the ads.

i have a ticket to see the cold war kids with annika tomorrow night, but as i have yet to get out of bed the last 2 days, i'm not sure if i can cope

the ticket was $45ish, but more importantly i need to find a friend happy to go with annika.

Guess what? This is going to be (my first?) real post detailing the events of the last 2 days.

But before I start - HAS ANYONE HEARD OF BILLY TALENT?

So,
Firstly, I got the (equal with a piece of artwork) worst mark of my schooling career (prep-3rd yr uni) on a paper I handed in. I didn't really put any effort into it, and I hate the subject, but I always thought the dreaded (okay, I'll tell you) P was for people who...couldn't spell...not just for people who obviously didn't give a shit.

Secondly, I decided that my second job was destroying my soul. I reasoned that if I wasn't working (toiling for cash in the mines of hell) 37.75 hours a week, I might be able to spend more time studying, and thus never get the dreaded mark again (hopefully).
The point : I quit my Coles Express job (4th time I've quit, so I'm actually getting quite good at it) this morning. YAAAAAAAAAYYYYY!!!!!!

Thirdly, I am going to see Tripod for an assignment soon if anyone is interested.

Oh, and if you had heard of Billy Talent, are you free next Wednesday night?

Love you all, and I'm tres excited about finally seeing you all again instead of working all the time!

Hello to everyone!

Katie - WELCOME BACK!

I missed all of you terribly, but I had so much fun :D :D :D
I'm too tired and jetlagged to post any photos now, but I will soon.

In case you haven't heard: my phone was stolen, so I'm going to have to grab all of your mobile numbers somehow again (just in case you were wondering why I was being rude and not replying to your messages - and holly I am so sorry!). Btw, a kind-hearted soul returned my wallet! (sans l'argent but HUZZAH!)

I hope Kate has managed to dole out the "I heart NY" t-shirts to all of you, and I hope that they all fit - it was rather stressful estimating sizes!
(P.S. Hi Kate! How is uni treating you? Have you shown off your new purchases yet? You should! I think I have someone else's camera battery charger, not mine. eep! also, a. when should I relieve you of the bag you so kindly brought? THANKYOU! b. when is your family free - after this weekend - to dine with some carnies? and c. should we share some photos do you think?)

The plane was delayed due to a SNOWSTORM and we were put up at the swanky Roosevelt hotel (with meals) and I wandered through snow-covered central park (sigh) :D

This isn't very coherent, and I am very tired, I just wanted to holler and hear about Thailand, Europe, South America and MELBOURNE OF COURSE! :D

i have had the BEST DAY EVER!!!

first of all, i was woken up by the family bearing gifts (and awesome gifts!!!)
then i received lovely msg's from great friends (THANKYOU!!!)

And how long do you think one should wait for mail to arrive? I ordered my Big Day Out tickets ages ago and...each day is agony!!! AGONY!!!

I want to quit the fish n chip shop. Swang, AARRGGHHH!

Best of luck to people who have yet to finish, when we are no longer invaded by blood relations I will definitely be having sessions of chilling out and watching DVDs at my house, if people are interested.
